터치스크린 기반 공학기기를 활용한 글씨쓰기 보완대체의사소통훈련이 비구어 자폐성 장애학생의 의사소통행동에 미치는 영향

The Effects of Handwriting Augmentative and Alternative Communication(AAC) Intervention with Touch Screen Based Device on Spontaneous Communication and Accuracy of a Nonverbal Student with Autistic Spectrum Disorders

본 연구에서는 터치스크린 기반 공학기기를 활용한 글씨쓰기 보완대체 의사소통 훈련이 비구어 자폐성 장애학생의 의사소통 행동 자발성과 정확도에 미치는 효과를 살펴보고자 하였다. 터치스크린 기반 공학기기를 활용한 보완대체 의사소통 훈련의 효과성을 검증하기 위해 본 연구에서는 정신지체 특수학교 중학교의 자폐성 장애학생 1명을 대상으로, 터치스크린 기반 공학기기를 활용한 글씨쓰기 보완대체 의사소통 훈련을 중재로 적용하였다. 연구설계는 학교, 가정, 방과후교육기관으로 상황간 중다기초선 설계(multiple baseline design across settings)법을 사용하였다. 자료수집은 학교, 가정, 방과후교육기관 상황에서 관찰을 통해 의사소통행동의 자발성과 정확성을 수집하였으며, 자료처리는 상황별로 측정된 빈도를 백분율로 산출하였다. 연구 결과, 터치스크린 기반 공학기기를 활용한 글씨쓰기 보완대체 의사소통 훈련은 비구어 자폐성 장애학생의 의사소통 행동 자발성과 정확도에 긍정적인 효과를 미친 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 본 연구의 대상이 1명이기에 연구의 결과를 일반화하기에는 제한점이 있다.

The purpose of this study was to examine the effectiveness of Handwriting Augmentative and Alternative Communication(AAC) intervention with touch screen based device for a nonverbal student with autistic spectrum disorders. The subject of this study was a nonverbal student diagnosed as autistic spectrum disorder at middle school grade in special school, The device usd for Handwriting Augmentative and Handwriting Alternative Communication(AAC) in this study was Nintendo DS Lite. To examine the effectiveness of this intervention, the frequency of student’s spontaneous communication and accuracy were measured using interval recording in multiple baseline design across settings. As results, the Handwriting Augmentative and Alternative Communication(AAC) intervention with the upper mentioned device had positive effects on the spontaneous communication and accuracy of the nonverbal student with autistic spectrum disorders.
