동극을 통한 다문화적 반편견 교육활동이 유아의 편견과 장애유아에 대한 태도에 미치는 영향

The Effect of Multicultural Anti-Biased Program through Drama Activities on Young Children's Bias and Attitudes towards Young Children with Disabilities

이 연구는 동극을 통한 다문화적 반편견 교육활동이 유아의 편견과 장애유아에 대한 태도에 미치는 효과를 알아보기 위해 실시되었다. 이 연구의 목적을 위해 정상발달을 보이는 총 40명의 유아가 참여했다. 총 40명의 유아 중 각각 20명의 유아들은 통제집단과 실험집단에 배치되었다. 유아의 편견과 장애유아에 대한 태도 조사를 위하여 문헌연구를 토대로 ‘편견조사 설문지’와 ‘태도조사 설문지’를 개발하여 사용하였다. 동극을 통한 다문화적 반편견 교육활동은 실험집단에 7주 동안 적용되었다. 실험결과 실험집단 유아들의 편견은 감소되었고 장애유아에 대한 태도도 향상된 것으로 나타났다.

The study examined the effects of the multicultural anti-biased program through drama activities on children's bias and attitudes toward people with disabilities. To obtain the purpose, a total of 40 typically developing children participated in the study. They were assigned to an experimental or control group, with 20 young children in each group. Instruments used for the pre-test and post-tests were the survey of Child's Prejudice of People with Disabilities and the Children's Attitudes toward Handicapped Persons Scale, respectively. The multicultural anti-biased program through drama activities was applied to the experimental group for 7 weeks. As a results, it was found that the children in the experimental group showed statistically significant differences between the pre-test and post-test scores on bias and attitudes toward people with disabilities.
