유아특수 교육과정 편성운영에 대한 실태 및 개선방안

A Survey Study on the Condition and Improvement of the Curriculum in Early Childhood Special Education

본 연구의 목적은 유아특수교육 현장에 적합한 유아특수 교육과정을 편성하고 운영하기 위한 기초적인 자료를 제공하고자 하는데 있다. 이를 위해 전국 유아특수교육기관의 유아특수교사 351명을 대상으로 유아특수 교육과정의 편성·운영 실태, 요구, 개선방안을 알아보기 위하여 설문조사를 실시하였다. 연구 결과, 첫째, 유아특수 교육과정은 일반유치원 교육과정을 참고하여 편성하였고 학교교육계획에 포함하여 운영하였다. 그리고 발달지체 유아의 개별적 특성에 따라 학부모와 지역사회 여건 및 실태를 부분적으로 반영하여 편성·운영하였다. 또한 편성된 유아특수 교육과정은 수업에 적극적으로 적용하고 있었으며, 개별화교육계획(IEP)을 편성된 교육과정의 생활영역 모두와 연계하여 운영하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 유아특수 교육과정의 편성․운영을 위해 발달지체 유아의 발달수준에 적절하게 적용할 수 있는 교수활동 지침서가 필요하고, 유아특수 교육과정과 개별화교육계획 간의 효과적인 연계를 위한 구체적인 방법을 요구하였으며, 유아특수 교육과정의 내용은 다양한 수준의 생활 및 기능 중심과 다양한 흥미 영역으로 구성할 것을 요구하였다. 이를 토대로 본 연구에서는 유아특수 교육과정 편성·운영에 대한 개선방안으로 학교(학급) 교육과정 편성의 표준이 될 수 있는 교육과정의 개발과 대상자의 특성에 적합한 교육과정 수정·적용을 위한 전문적인 자격을 갖춘 유아특수교사의 양성 및 배치, 교육과정 개발 시 가족참여의 확대, 교육과정 평가도구의 개발, 교수학습을 위한 생활영역 및 발달영역별 참고자료의 개발, 유아특수 교육과정의 수업 적용에 대한 구체적인 연수 제공 등을 제안하였다.

The purpose of this study is to provide effective ways of organization and management of the curriculum for young children with developmental delays. For this purpose, the researchers, in this study, conducted a survey on current situations, needs, & improvement of ECSE curriculum. Subjects were consisted of 351 early childhood , the researchers teachers(144 todre) and head teachers(207 todre) in 293 early childhood , the researchers institutions. Total mean of returned surveys reached 67.2%( 69.4% for ECSE teachers and 65.7% for head teachersr headu cs were aachellows: 1) the ECSE curriculum were referred to regulardre) and h curricula and managed with Sand h Eearchers Plan considering childd windividual charactendutic,drarental prlyihepchers & community circumstances. Based on these results, discussions of the study and the suggestions are recommended.
