장애학생의 읽기 능력 향상을 위한 이독성 관련 연구 고찰

A study on Readability for Improving the Reading Achievement of Students with Disabilities

본 연구는 장애학생의 읽기능력 향상을 위해서 이독성과 관련된 국내외 연구를 고찰하고자 하였다. 이독성은 글을 읽고 쉽게 이해할 수 있는 정도를 의미하는데, 이는 장애학생들의 학습자 특성에 맞게 텍스트의 내용과 유형을 제시하는 것이 장애학생들의 성공적인 학습을 유도할 수 있다는 측면에서 매우 중요하다. 본 연구에서는 이독성과 관련하여 이독성의 개념과 측정방법, 이독성 요인, 이독성 공식 등을 종합적으로 검토하여, 이독성 연구가 특수교육분야에서 주는 시사점을 도출하였다. 앞으로 이독성 연구는 특수교육분야에 있어서 장애유형에 따른 이독성 공식 산출, 교과서 개발에 따른 이독성 탐색, 이독성을 높이기 위한 텍스트 수정 방안, 장애관련 능력검사와 각종 학력 검사도구의 검사문항 개발시 이독성 확보 등과 같은 다양한 측면에서 이루어져야 할 필요성이 있다.

The main purpose of this study was to synthesis research on readabilities for students with disabilities. Readability was originally developed to evaluate the difficulty level of passage. Studying on readability is important due to the fact that it is viewed as the level where students with reading disabilities could comprehend what they read. As reviewing related studies on readabilities published in national/international journals, we were able to provide information on readabilities formulas, its definition, factors affecting the degree of readability, and methods for measuring readability. Implications for practice and future research are discussed.
