발달장애 대학생의 여가활동 실태 및 선호도 분석

A Survey Study on the Status and Preference of the Leisure Activities among College Students with Developmental Disabilities

본 연구는 발달장애 대학생들의 여가활동 실태 및 선호도를 분석하여 그들에게 적절한 여가활동 프로그램을 개발하는데 필요한 기초 자료를 제공하는데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 4년제 대학교에 재학 중인 발달장애 학생 33명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였으며, 조사지는 총 28문항(일반적인 사항 3문항 및 여가활동 관련 25문항 포함)으로 구성하였다. 수집된 자료에 대하여 일반적인 사항과 여가활동의 실태 및 선호도는 백분율과 빈도분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 발달장애 대학생의 현재 여가활동은 상당히 제한된 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 발달장애 대학생이 참여하고 싶은 여가활동으로는 현재 하고 있는 활동이외에도 다양한 지역사회의 여가활동에 참여하기를 선호하는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구 결과는 발달장애 대학생을 위한 다양한 여가활동 프로그램 개발의 필요성을 제기하고 있으며, 이에 따라 향후 발달장애 대학생의 여가활동 프로그램 개발을 위한 방향을 제시하였다.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the current participation and the preference of college students diagnosed with developmental disabilities(DD) in leisure activities and to provide basic information needed to develop leisure programs appropriate for them. For this purpose, 33 students with DD who were enrolled in a four-year university participated in this survey study. The survey questionnaire comprised a total of 28 items including 3 items on general information and 25 items on the leisure activities. A frequency analysis and a percentile analysis approaches were used to investigate the general information and the current participation and the preference in leisure activities. The major findings of this study were as follows. First, the participation of college students with DD in leisure activities was considerably limited. Second, participants indicated that they prefer to participate in various leisure activities beyond what they have been participating. The results of this study indicated a dire need for the development of various leisure activities for college students with DD and suggested future directions based on the research findings.
