정신지체학생의 성격 특성 연구

A study on the characteristics of students with mental retardation

본 연구는 우리나라 정신지체학생들의 성격특성을 관련변인(학교급별, 연령별, 거주환경, 장애정도, 성별)에 따라 살펴보는데 그 목적이 있다. 본 연구의 연구대상은 특수학교와 특수학급에 재학 중인 초, 중, 고등학교 정신지체학생 452명을 대상으로 하였다. 연구도구는 외부지향성, 충동성, 효능동기, 긍정적 반응경향성, 순종, 부정적 반응경향성, 불안정성 요인으로 구성된 정신지체학생용 성격검사도구를 활용하였다. 연구 결과를 살펴보면 먼저, 성격특성 평정점수 전체에 대하여 관련변인들의 차이를 구한 결과는 거주환경과 장애정도, 성별에 따라서는 유의한 차이가 없었으나 학년수준과 교육장면에서는 유의한 차이를 나타냈으며 사후검증 결과 초등 저학년과 중학부, 초등 저학년과 고등부에서 유의한 차이가 있었다. 정신지체학생의 성격 검사도구의 하위요인을 관련변인에 따라 비교 검증한 결과, 학년수준, 교육장면, 거주환경, 장애정도에 따라서는 하위요인에서 각각 유의한 차를 보였다. 즉, 학년수준에서는 충동성과 불안정 요인에서 집단 간 차이를 보였으며, 교육장면에서는 외부지향성, 긍정적 반응경향성, 효능동기, 순종의 요인에서 집단 간 차이를 보였다. 또한 거주환경에 따른 분석 결과를 살펴보면 긍정적 반응경향성과 부정적 반응경향성에서 집단 간 차이를 나타내는 것으로 나타났고, 장애정도에서는 충동성과 순종 요인에서 집단 간 차이를 보이는 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 성별에 따라서는 전체점수뿐만 아니라 하위요인에서도 집단 간 차이를 보이지 않는 것으로 나타났다.

The purpose of this study was to analyze their personality rating data according to the characteristics variables of them. The subjects of the survey 452 students with mental retardation. For analysis on characteristics of their personality, ANOVA, t-test method were used. According to these method, total personality rating data were analyzed to characteristic variables of students with mental retardation, these include grade level, educational situation, dwelling environment, degree of the impairment. The t-test analysis showed that no statistically difference in the personality rating marks by dwelling environment, degree of the impairment. But there were difference significant meaningfully in grade level, educational situation. Therefore, the results of MANOVA comparing with the subcategories of personality rating scales by characteristic variables were proved significant meaningful difference about all 7factors. We established effectiveness of the this instrument, the personality rating scale teacher form for students with mental retardation, through testing highly reliability and validity. Therefore, this instrument could be applicable to the students with mental retardation as a personality assessment resource of them. Through this results, if more research on characteristics of their personality, these results were utilized as a assessment resources to understand and intervene program improving positive personality for them.
