아동 상담을 의뢰한 어머니의 양육행동 특징 연구

Parenting Behaviors of Mothers Who referred their Child to a Intervention Center

본 연구는 아동 상담실에 자녀를 의뢰한 어머니들의 양육행동의 특징과 경향을 알아보고자 하였다. 유아기부터 학령 초기 사이의 자녀의 정신건강 문제로 상담실에 자녀를 의뢰한 어머니 총 124명의 양육행동을 정서 수용과 지원 및 자기조절 지원과 같은 2개 요인으로 구성된 양육행동 질문지로써 조사하였으며 아동의 사회성숙도검사와 임상 면접 자료도 분석에 활용하였다. 어머니 양육행동 자료는 부모의 사회인구학적 요인(연령, 교육수준, 부 직업 및 모 취업여부) 및 아동의 인구학적 요인(성, 연령, 형제 유무)과 발달적 요인(선행 프로그램 경험 여부, 문제행동 유형, 장애 여부 및 사회성숙도)에 따라 차이가 있는 지를 t-검증과 F검증에 의하여 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 부모 요인 중에서는 아버지의 교육수준에 따라 어머니의 정서 수용과 지원 행동에 유의한 차이가 있었다. 아동의 연령과 형제 유무에 따라, 그리고 선행 프로그램 경험 여부, 문제행동 유형 및 사회성숙도 등 발달적 요인에 따라 어머니 양육행동의 하위요인 및 총점에 유의한 차이가 있었다. 이러한 결과는 추후 연구, 정신건강 문제의 예방 및 아동상담 시 요구되는 부모교육과 관련하여 논의되었다.

The study was to examine the characteristics of parenting behaviors of mothers who referred their child with disabilities and/or developmental and behavioral problems to a child intervention center affiliated to a university from July 2000 to June 2006. The subjects were 124 mothers of children aged 3-8 and administered the Parenting Behavior Questionnaire consisted of 2 sub-factors like emotional acceptance and support and guide of self- regulation, the social maturity test for children, HTP test and in-depth clinical interview questionnaire. Data were analyzed the group differences according to parent variables, age, education and occupation and child variables like sex, age, sibling relation, experiences of previous programs, type of problem behaviors, children with/without disability, Social Quotient and social maturation by t-test and ANOVA. It showed that parenting behaviors were significantly different by education level of fathers and child variables like age, sibling relation, experiences of previous counseling programs, type of problem behaviors and Social Quotient.
