시각손상 아동의 효율적인 운동수행을 위한 생태학적 평가모형 고찰

A Study of Ecological Assessment Model for Efficient Exercise Performance of Children with Visual Impairments

이 연구는 특수체육교육에서 시각손상 아동의 효율적인 운동수행을 촉진할 수 있는 다양한 교수ㆍ학습 방법 및 체육교과 교육 프로그램의 토대를 마련하기 위한 생태학적 평가모형을 고찰하는데 그 목적이 있다. 다양한 특성을 지닌 시각손상 아동들의 신체활동에 대한 전통적인 평가 도구는 환경적 요소를 배제한 개인의 능력이나 기술만을 측정함으로써 체육교과 교육 프로그램 계획에 필요한 모든 정보를 제공하지 못하였다. 시각손상 아동의 신체활동을 촉진할 수 있는 교수ㆍ학습 방법을 찾기 위해서는 개인적인 요인과 함께 시각손상 아동을 둘러싸고 있는 외적인 환경 요인을 함께 고려한 생태학적 평가모형을 고찰해 볼 필요가 있는 것이다. 전통적인 평가 방법에 대한 대안으로서의 생태학적 평가모형은 개인을 둘러싸고 있는 다양한 환경적 요소의 체계적인 조작과 수정을 통하여 시각손상 아동의 신체활동을 촉진시킬 수 있을 것이다. 선행연구 고찰을 통하여 이 연구에서 제안하는 시각손상 아동의 효율적인 운동수행을 위한 생태학적 평가모형을 토대로 시각손상 아동을 둘러싸고 있는 외적 환경체계를 적절하게 조절수정하는 교수ㆍ학습 방법 및 체육교과 교육 프로그램을 마련하여 적용한다면, 시각손상 아동의 개인적인 변인(생물학적, 유전학적, 심리적 변인)이 시각손상 아동 개인의 운동수행에 끼치는 부정적인 영향을 감소시키거나 개선함으로써 좀 더 효율적인 시각손상 아동의 운동수행을 기대할 수 있을 것이다.

The purpose of this study was to examine the ecological assessment model to establish foundations for diverse teaching, learning and physical education programs capable of promoting physical activities for children with visual impairments in special physical education. We found out that conventional tools for assessing physical activities of visually impaired children, who display various characteristics, did not provide all the information necessary for planning physical education programs. In order to implement teaching and learning programs that can promote physical activities for children with visual impairment, it is necessary to examine the ecological assessment model that considers not only the individual factors but also external environmental elements that surrounds the children. As an alternative to the conventional assessment approach, the ecological assessment model is expected to promote physical activities of children with visual impairments based on systematic manipulation and modification of various environmental elements that surround individuals. If the external environmental system surrounding children with visual impairments can be adjusted and modified based on examination of previous studies and the ecological approach of the assessment model for visually impaired children's exercise performance proposed in this study, I believe that negative influence of visually impaired children's individual factors(biological, genetic and psychological) on their exercise performances can be substantially reduced or eliminated. Topics for subsequent studies are also suggested to further achieve the objective described above.
