일반 중학교 지체부자유학생에 대한 또래학생들의 장애 태도 연구

Attitudes of Peers Toward Students with Physical Disability in Middle School

본 연구는 일반 중학교에서 통합교육을 받고 있는 지체부자유학생에 대한 또래학생들의 장애 태도를 알아보고자 하였다. 지체부자유학생에 대한 또래학생들을 보면 4개 학교 8학급의 학생들로 1학년 132명, 3학년 139명으로 전체 271명이었다. 연구목적별로 결과를 알아보기 위하여 기술통계, t검정을 하였으며 연구 결과에 따른 결론은 다음과 같다.첫째, 지체부자유학생에 대한 또래학생들의 장애 태도는 전체적으로 통합반과 비통합반간에 뚜렷한 차이가 나타나지 않았다, 그러나 하위영역인 활동영역과 학업영역에서 통합반 학생들이 비통합반 학생들보다 지체부자유학생들에 대해 더 부정적인 장애 태도를 나타내었다.둘째, 중학교에서 통합교육을 받고 있는 지체부자유학생에 대한 또래학생들의 장애 태도는 1학년이 3학년보다 더 긍정적인 태도를 보였다. 또한 각 하위영역 모두에서 1학년이 3학년보다 긍정적인 장애 태도를 나타내었다. 셋째, 일반 중학교 지체부자유학생에 대한 또래학생들의 장애 태도는 여학생이 남학생보다 전체인식태도와 하위영역인 학업영역에서 더 긍정적인 태도를 보였다. 따라서 지체부자유 학생에 대한 장애 태도는 통합반보다는 비통합반이, 학년에서는 3학년보다 1학년에서 더 긍정적인 태도를 가지며, 여학생이 남학생보다 더 긍정적인 장애 태도를 가지는 것으로 나타났다.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the attitude of peers toward students with physical disabilitiy in the inclusive environment of middle school. This study was conducted with 271 students with physical disabilities. Mean, standard deviation, t-tests were done to draw out the conclusions according to different study purposes. The findings of this study were as follows; First, the attitude of peer groups toward physically disabled students in the inclusive class was non-significant compared to those in the non-inclusive class. Second, peers in the lower class levels showed a more positive attitude toward the physical disability compared to peers in the higher class levels. Third, it can be said that the attitude of female peers toward the students with physical disabilities was more positive compared to the male peers.
