그림책을 활용한 총체적 언어활동이 장애유아의 언어발달에 미치는 효과

Effect of Whole Language Activities through Picture Books on the Language Development of Disabled Young Children

본 연구의 목적은 그림책을 활용한 총체적 언어활동이 장애유아의 언어발달에 미치는 효과를 알아보기 위한 것이다. 본 연구 대상은 J시에 소재하고 있는 특수학교 유치부에 재원중인 2명의 유아들이다. 대상 유아들은 유치원 일과 중 언어활동시간에 유치부 교실에서 40분씩 총 30회기 동안 그림책을 활용한 총체적 언어활동을 실시하여 유아의 수용언어 발달과 표현언어 발달을 분석하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 그림책을 활용한 총체적 언어활동이 장애유아의 수용언어 발달 증가를 보였다. 둘째, 그림책을 활용한 총체적 언어활동이 장애유아의 표현 언어발달 증가를 보였다.

The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of whole language activities through picture books on the Language development of disabled young children. The subjects in this study were two young children in the kindergarten section of a special school located in the city of J. Whole language activities were conducted by utilizing picture books in 30 sessions in the kindergarten classroom, 40 minutes each, to see if the activities brought any changes to the development of the receptive and expressive language of the kindergarteners. The findings of the study were as follows: First, the whole language activities that capitalized on picture books served to step up the development of the receptive language of the disabled preschoolers. Second, the whole language activities that employed picture books contributed to expediting the development of expressive language of the disabled young children.
