감각통합프로그램이 뇌성마비유아의 감각통합능력 및 신변처리능력에 미치는 효과

The Effects of Sensory Integration Program on Sensory Integration Ability and Self-help Ability of Children with Cerebral Palsy

본 연구는 감각통합훈련이 뇌성마비유아의 감각통합능력 및 신변처리능력에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 하였다. 이에 따라 감각통합능력 및 일상생활능력이 지체된 것으로 진단된 뇌성마비유아 1명을 대상으로 대상유아의 장애 및 발달 특성을 고려한 감각통합프로그램(촉각, 전정각, 고유수용각 훈련을 중심으로 구성)을 구안, 적용하고 그 효과를 아동용 감 이 논문은 부산대학교 자유과제 학술연구비(2년)에 의하여 연구되었음. 각반응검사(SSP)와 신변처리능력 평정척도(DARBAS의 하위 영역)를 통하여 검토하였다. 프로그램은 2004년 11월부터 2005년 4월까지 총 72회기(주 3회, 회기당 40분)에 걸쳐 이루어졌으며, 각 능력의 변화 수준을 분석한 결과 다음과 같은 주된 결론을 얻었다. 첫째, 대상유아의 감각통합능력은 사전 점수 89점보다 56점 향상된 145점으로 나타나 감각통합프로그램의 효과를 확인할 수 있었다. 둘째, 신변처리능력 평정척도에서 대상유아의 신변처리능력은 사전 7.3개월 수준에서 사후 30개월 수준으로 평균 22.7개월 수준의 향상을 확인할 수 있었다. 이상의 연구 결과를 토대로 본 연구에서 구안된 감각통합프로그램이 뇌성마비유아의 감각통합능력 및 신변처리능력에 긍정적으로 영향을 미칠 수 있을 것이라 추론하였다.

The sensory integration program was applied to improve the sensory integration and the self-help abilities of children with cerebral palsy effectively. Pre- and post- test designs were applied for one child with celebral palsy who showed the delayed sensory integration and the self-help abilities. The main results were obtained through the sub-tests of DARBAS and SSP(Short Sensory Profile) Test. The program was applied to the child from November 2005 to April 2006 and the total attempts were 72 times ( 40min. per time and 3 times per week). The followings are what we obtained through this study. 1) The effectiveness of the sensory integration program on the sensory integration abilities of the child with cerebral palsy was investigated by a comparison of the results obtained from pre- and post- tests; the sensory integration ability was improved by 56 points after the application of the program (89 for pretest to 145 from post-test), showing the positive effectiveness of the sensory integration program. 2) The self help ability of the child was improved by 22.7 months (from 7.3 months before the test to 30 months after the test)These suggest that the sensory integration program is very effective to the improvement of the sensory integration and the self-help abilities of children with cerebral palsy.
