특수교육 보조원제 운영에 대한 만족도 조사

A Survey of Satisfaction with the Management of Paraprofessional System in Special Education

특수교육 보조원 제도는 통합교육의 효율적 운용을 위한 지원방안으로 이해된다. 본 연구의 목적은 특수교육 보조원제 운영에 대한 특수교사, 일반교사, 장애학생 학부모 그리고 특수교육 보조원의 인식과 만족도를 조사하고 특수교육 보조원제의 개선 방안을 제시하기 위하여 수행되었다. 부산 지역의 특수학급이 설치된 초등학교 중 국가보조에 의해 특수교육 보조원제를 운영하고 있는 학교의 특수교사 60명과 통합학급 교사 59명, 장애학생 학부모 65명, 그리고 특수교육 보조원 52명을 대상으로 설문조사하였다. 설문지는 선행연구 등을 참고하여 특수교육 보조원제 운영지침에 대한 13문항과 특수교육 보조원 운영에 대한 21문항으로 구성하였으며 크론바하 알파 신뢰도는 .825 이상이었다. 본 연구에서는 특수교육 보조원제 운영지침, 특수교육 보조원제 운영, 그리고 문제점과 개선방안에 있어서 집단간 인식차이가 있음을 제시하였다. 따라서 특수교사, 일반교사, 장애학생 학부모 그리고 특수교육 보조원간의 정기적인 협의를 통해 각 집단간의 의견 차이를 좁히고 문제점을 개선하려는 노력이 요구되고 있음을 또한 본 연구에서는 강조하였다.

The present study purposed to survey perception on and satisfaction with the management of paraprofessional system in special education in special education teachers, general education teachers, parents of students with disabilities and paraprofessionals for students with disabilities and to suggest directions for improving the paraprofessional system in special education. Using a questionnaire prepared with reference of the guidelines for the management of paraprofessional system in special education, we conducted a questionnaire survey of elementary schools in Busan that had special classes and were utilizing paraprofessionals for students with disabilities with governmental support. Participants who replied to the questionnaire were 60 special education teachers, 59 general education teachers of inclusive class, 52 parents of students with disabilities and 65 paraprofessionals for students with disabilities, so a total of 236 people participated in the survey. According to the result of analyzing the questionnaires, differences were observed in perception on the management of paraprofessional system in special education as well as in satisfaction with the management among the four groups. Problems mentioned by special education teachers, general education teachers, parents of students with disabilities and paraprofessionals for students with disabilities were also different according to the participants’ perception and satisfaction. In addition, the results of the survey suggest that, in order to solve these problems, it is necessary to advertise the paraprofessional system in special education, develop relevant training programs, prepare detailed and specific management guidelines, and hold meetings to discuss relevant issues.
