영유아교사의 창의적 교수에 대한 인식

The Perception of Creative Teaching in Young Child Teachers

본 연구의 목적은 영유아교사의 창의적 교수에 관한 인식을 살펴보는 것이다. 이를 위해 서울 및 수도권과 충남 지역에 소재한 어린이집 교사를 대상으로 창의적 교수 인식에 관한 설문조사를 실시하였다. 조사 참여에 동의한 영유아교사 298명의 자료가 수집되었고, 불성실한 자료 등을 제외한 최종 291부가 분석에 활용되었다. 창의적 교수 인식 척도는 영유아기 창의성 가치 인식, 창의적 교수에 관한 개념 인식, 창의적 교사의 특성 인식, 창의적 교수역량에 대한 인식 등의 4가지 영역으로 구성되어 있다. 영유아교사의 창의적 교수에 관한 인식을 알아보기 위해, 평균과 표준편차를 산출하였고 빈도분석을 실시하였으며, 집단 간 평균차이를 알아보기 위해 t검증, F검증을 실시하였다. 분석 결과, 영유아교사들은 발달적 측면에서 영유아기의 창의성 개발이 중요하다고 인식하고 있었다. 영유아교사는 창의적 교수를 유아에게 효과적인 창의적 교수활동을 제공함으로써 더욱 흥미 있는 학습이 이루어지게 하는 것으로 생각하고 있었다. 창의적 교사는 영유아에게 다양한 기회를 제공하고 개방적이며 소통하는 특성을 가진 것으로 인식하였다. 영유아교사는 영유아의 창의성 증진을 지원하기 위한 역량을 높일 필요가 있다고 생각하였고, 이를 위해 창의적 교수에 관한 상호교류의 장이 필요함을 제시하였다. 학력 및 경력에 따라 창의적 교수인식에서 부분적으로 차이가 있었다. 영유아의 주도성과 창의성이 강조되는 보육현장에서 영유아교사의 창의적 교수 수행을 높이는 방안을 논의하였다.

This study aims to examine the perception of creative teaching by young child teachers. A survey was conducted on creative teaching perception for childcare center teachers located in Seoul, a metropolitan area, and Chungcheongnam-do. The data from 298 young child teachers who agreed to participate in the survey were collected, and the final 291 data were used for analysis. The creative teaching perception scale consists of four areas: recognition of creativity values in early childhood, recognition of concepts about creative teaching, recognition of the characteristics of creative teachers, and recognition of creative teaching competencies. Descriptive Statistics were used, and t-tests and F-tests were conducted to find out differences in the perception of creative teaching by academic background and career. The results of the analysis are as follows; young child teachers recognized that developing creativity in early childhood was important. young child teachers regarded creative teaching as providing effective creative teaching activities to young children, making more interesting learning possible. Creative teachers were recognized as having the characteristics of providing various opportunities for young children, being open, and communicating. Young child teachers thought that they needed to increase creative teaching competence. There were partial differences in creative teaching perception according to academic background and career. Alternatives for increasing the creative teaching competence of young child teachers are discussed.
