Analysis of Research Trends in the 『Journal of Art &Design Research』: Centered around Papers Published from 1998~2022

본 연구는 경희대학교 예술디자인연구원에서 발간하는 학술지 『예술·디자인학연구』의 발간 25주년과 등재지 선정을 계기로, 학술지가 추구하는 예술과 디자인 분야의 학문적 고유 영역을 확장하고 융복합 연구의 활성화를 위한 기반 자료를 마련하기 위하여 실시한 다. 이를 위해 1998년부터 2022년까지 25년 동안 연구원에서 발간된 학술지에 게재된 525편의 논문과 여기에 참여한 연구자 935명을 대상으로 분석을 진행하 였다. 분석결과, 논문의 양적 증가에 대비하여 논문집 발간 횟수를 늘리고, 논문 투고자 및 게재자의 다양성 확보를 위한 지역, 소속, 전공 분야 등이 고려된 편집 위원회의 인적 구성 확대, 9개로 구성된 각 센터 간의 교류와 연구기능의 강화를 통한 융복합 연구 촉진 등의 시사점이 도출되었다.

This study was conducted in commemoration of the 25th anniversary of the publication of the academic journal 『Journal of Art &Design Research』 issued by the Art and Design Research Institute at Kyung Hee University, and in conjunction with its inclusion in recognized journals. The aim was to expand the scholarly and unique domains of art and design pursued by the journal and to provide foundational data to promote interdisciplinary research. To achieve this, an analysis was conducted on 525 papers published in the journal and the 935 researchers who participated from 1998 to 2022. The analysis results revealed several key insights. In response to the quantitative increase in papers, it was suggested to increase the frequency of journal publications. The expansion of the editorial board's composition, considering diversity in contributors and authors based on region, affiliation, and academic field, was recommended. Additionally, the findings emphasized the need to enhance collaboration and research functions among the nine centers, promoting interdisciplinary research through increased exchanges.
