Ultrasound-guided Hominis Placenta Pharmacopuncture Improved a Patient with Occipital Neuralgia: A Case Report

Objectives This case study is aimed to report the effectiveness of ultrasound-guided pharmacopuncture treatment on occipital neuralgia. Methods Ultrasound-guided pharmacopuncture treatment with usage of Hominis Placenta has been performed on patient with occipital neuralgia. Treatment has been conducted on the perspective of nerve entrapment. Treatment progress was assessed by visual analog scale. Results After 11 sessions of ultrasound-guided pharmacopuncture treatment using Hominis Placenta, visual analog scale figure decreased significantly without any adverse effects. Conclusions The result suggests ultrasound-guided pharmacopuncture can be an effective treatment on patients with occipital neuralgia.
