COVID-19 이후 진천국가대표선수촌 한의과 진료실 이용 현황

The Status of using the Korean Medicine Clinic in Jincheon National Training Center post-COVID-19

Objectives The Korean medicine clinic in Jincheon National Training Center of Korean Sport & Olympic Committee(KSOC), which began in June 2018, was suspended in February 2020 due to the coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19) pandemic and resumed in June 2022, 28 months later. This study looked back on the use of Korean medicine clinic for 15 months from June 2022 to September 2023 and compared them with pre-COVID-19. Methods This study covers 75 visit records and 1,442 medical treatments between June 23, 2022 and September 26, 2023, by two Korean medicine doctors. The number of treatments, gender, age, number of visits, type of treatment, treatment area, and treatment method were analyzed. Results 1. An average of 19 patients per day (7 for first visit, 12 for return visit), and the average number of visits per person is 2.8 times. 2. The usage rate is high among men (61%), people in their 20s (61%), and athletes (87%). 3. Among the 38 sports visited, gymnastics, jiu-jitsu, wrestling, track and field, badminton, swimming, and judo are the most popular in that order. 4. Treatment areas are mainly neck (25%), waist (22%), shoulders (10%), and feet (9%). 5. Treatment are mainly acupuncture and chuna manual therapy. Conclusions Compared to pre-COVID-19 study, the average number of patients, subjects of treatment, and frequently treated areas were similar, and there was a difference in the increase in the re-visit rate and the ranking of frequently visited sports events.
