초등 6학년 아동의 성별, 학업 스트레스, 성취 압력 및 부모 양육 스트레스가 아동학대에 미치는 영향

Gender, Academic Stress, Achievement Pressure, and the Parenting Stress Impact of Child Abuse

연구목적: 본 연구는 초등학교 6학년 아동의 성별, 학업 스트레스와 성취 압력과 부와 모의 양육 스트레스가 초등 6학년 부모 학대에 영향을 주는지 살펴보고자 하는 데 있다. 연구방법: 한국 아동 패널 초등학교 6학년 아동 1,397명을 대상으로 하였다. 아동의 성별, 학업 스트레스, 성취 압력과 부와 모의 양육 스트레스가 부모의 학대에 영향을 주는지 살펴보기 위해 중다회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과: 첫째, 아동의 성별, 성취 압력은 부모의 신체학대에 영향을 주었다. 둘째, 아동의 학업 스트레스, 성취 압력과 어머니 양육 스트레스는 부모의 정서학대에 영향을 주었다. 셋째, 아동의 성별, 학업 스트레스, 성취 압력과 어머니의 양육 스트레스는 부모의 학대에 영향을 주었다. 반면, 아버지의 양육 스트레스는 부모의 학대에 영향을 주지 않았다. 연구결론: 아동의 학업 스트레스와 성취 압력이 부모의 학대에 영향을 준다는 점과 어머니의 양육 스트레스가 학대에 영향을 준다는 점을 통해 다각화된 부모 교육과 사회적 지원 시스템이 필요함을 시사한다.

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to examine whether gender, academic stress and achievement pressure, and parenting stress affect parental abuse in 6th grade children. Methods: We used 1397 6th grade children from the Panel Study on Korean Children. Multiple regression analyses were conducted to examine whether children's gender, academic stress, achievement pressure and parenting stress affect parental abuse. Results: First, children's gender and achievement pressure influenced parental physical abuse. Second, children's academic stress, achievement pressure, and maternal parenting stress influenced parental emotional abuse. Third, child gender, academic stress,achievement pressure, and mother's parenting stress influenced parental abuse. On the other hand, fathers' parenting stress had no effect on parental abuse. Conclusion: The findings that children's academic stress and achievement pressure influenced parental maltreatment and that mothers' parenting stress influenced maltreatment suggest the need for diversified parental education and social support systems.
