디자인 씽킹 프로세스를 적용한 디자인 프로젝트 수업 모형연구

A Study on the Design Project Class Model Using the Design Thinking Process

본 연구는 디자인의 사회적 책임과 역할에 대한 체계적인 교육 프로그램의 이론적 토대를 다지기 위해경기도 소재 4년제 대학의 디자인학부 전공기초 수업인 ‘디자인과 윤리’ 교과목에 인간 중심적 사회문제 해결을 위한 프로젝트 기반의 디자인 씽킹 프로세스를 적용한 수업모형을 개발하였다. 프로젝트 수업 방법은 디자인 씽킹 프로세스의 질문구성, 영감수집, 아이디어 생성, 프로토타입, 평가 및 개선의 5 단계로 진행하였다. 수업 결과는 학습이해도, 창의적 사고력, 문제해결 능력의 측면에서 긍정적인 학습만족도를 나타냈으며 인간 중심적 문제해결 프로세스를 경험하는 기회가 되었다. 디자인의 사회적 책임과 역할에 대한 체계적인 교육과정에 관한 연구는 인간의 사회적 문제해결을 위한 수단으로 전문기술을 효과적으로 활용할 수 있도록 수업이 구성되었으며, 팀 프로젝트 수업을 통해 다양한 관점을 공유하고 문제해결의 새로운 방법으로 창의적인 문제해결 역량 함양이라는 시대적 교육의 요구를 충족시킨점에서 의의가 있다. 향후 다학제간 융합, 정부 기관, 민간 기업 및 사회적 기업들과의 연계로 실질적인 사회적 디자인교육 프로그램으로 발전하기를 기대한다.

In order to lay the theoretical foundation for a systematic education program on the social responsibility and role of design, this study developed a teaching model that applied a project-based design thinking process for solving human-centered social problems to the “Design and Ethics” course, which is a basic major class in the Department of Design at a four-year university in Gyeonggi-do. The project teaching method consisted of five stages: frame a question, gather inspiration, generate ideas, prototype, test to learn, and improvement of the design thinking process. The results of the class showed positive learning satisfaction in terms of learning comprehension, creative thinking, and problem-solving ability, and it was an opportunity to experience a human-centered problem-solving process. The systematic curriculum on the social responsibility and role of design was organized to effectively utilize specialized technology as a means for solving human social problems, and it is significant in that it met the demand for education of the times, which includes sharing various perspectives through team project classes and cultivating a new creative problemsolving skills. In the future, it is hoped that it will develop into a practical social design education program by linking it with multidisciplinary convergence, government agencies, private companies, and social enterprises.
