어린이집 선택요인에 대한 요구도 조사

The Needs Study of Childcare Center Choice Factors: Focusing on IPA and Borich Needs Assessment

본 연구의 목적은 어린이집 이용 부모의 어린이집 선택요인에 대한 중요도 및 만족도에 기초하여 부모의 요구를 이해하는 것이다. 이를 위해 B시에 소재한 20개 기관의 어린이집에 재원 중인 부모를 대상으로 설문을 실시하였다. 최종 수집된 191개의 자료는 SPSS 25.0, Excel을 사용하여 분석되었다. 분석결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 부모배경 특성 중 부모의 취업여부, 자녀의 연령에 따라 어린이집 선택요인의 중요도에 차이가 있었다. 부모의 연령에 따라 대한 만족도에 차이가 있었으며, 20, 30대 부모의 만족도가 40대 부모에 비해 높았다. 둘째, 어린이집 선택요인에 대한 IPA 결과, 건강·안전, 교직원 영역은 유지영역(1사분면), 보육과정 및 상호작용영역은 집중노력영역(2사분면)에 해당하는 것으로 나타났다. 그러나, 하위요인별 결과에서 유지영역(1사분면)에 건강·안전, 교직원 영역, 보육과정 및 상호작용 3문항, 집중노력영역(2사분면)에 보육과정 및 상호작용, 보육환경 및 운영관리 2문항이 해당하여 선택요인과 선택하위 요인의 IPA 결과에 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, Borich 요구도 분석 결과 균형있는 급간식, 교사의 영유아 존중, 차별없이 존중, 교사의 적절한 상호작용, 영유아의 건강상태 관리에 대한 요구도 순위가 높았다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 어린이집 운영 및 보육정책에 대한 시사점을 제시하였다.

The purpose of this study is to understand the needs of parents based on their importance and satisfaction with childcare center selection factors. To this objective, a questionnaire was administered to parents enrolled in 20 childcare centers in B city. The final 191 data collected were analyzed using SPSS 25.0 and Excel. The results of the analysis are as follows. First, among parental background characteristics, there were differences in the importance of childcare center selection factors based on parental employment status and child age. Parents in their 20s and 30s were more satisfied than parents in their 40s. Second, the IPA results of the childcare center selection factors showed that health, safety, and staff were in the maintenance quadrant (quadrant 1), and childcare curriculum and interaction were in the focus quadrant (quadrant 2). However, in the results of each subfactor, there were differences in the IPA results of the selected factors and the selected subfactors, as health and safety, staff, and childcare curriculum and interaction were in the maintenance area (quadrant 1), and childcare curriculum and interaction, child care environment, and operation management were in the intensive effort area (quadrant 2). Third, the Borich needs analysis showed that the needs for balanced meals, respect for children by teachers, respect without discrimination, appropriate interactions, and health care for children were ranked high. Based on these results, implications for childcare center management and childcare policies were presented.
