외국인 유학생의 한국 대학축제 선택 속성, 만족도, 재방문 의도

A Foreign Students’ Festival Selection Attributes, Satisfaction, Revisit Intention in Korean College Setting: Exploratory Approach of School Life Adjustment’s Relations to Relates Variables

목적 본 연구의 목적은 최근 한국대학사회에서 새로운 구성원으로 대두되고 있는 외국인 유학생에 주목하여 대학축제가 유학생활 적응을 위한 기능을 수행할 수 있는지를 알아보는데 있다. 따라서 다수의 유학생들이 한국에서의 대학축제에 참가하고 만족할 수 있도록 하기 위해서 어떠한 축제선택속성이 필요한가 그리고 일상의 유학생활 적응도의 차이에 따라서 이른바 비일상의 축제에 대한 관점 차이가 존재하는지를 규명하여 축제를 통해 일상이 변화될 수 있음을 확인하고자 하였다. 방법 한국 대학 캠퍼스의 유학생 증 다수를 차지하고 있는 중국학생을 대상으로 자기기입식 설문조사를 실시하였으며 총 221부를 최종 분석하였다. 결과 가설1 대학축제 선택속성은 대학축제 만족도에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 가설2 대학축제 만족도는 대학축제 재방문의도에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이를 통해서 유학생이 요구하고 기대하는 선택속성을 발견하고 만족에 이르는 과정을 발견하였다. 가설3 유학생활 적응도에 따라 대학축제 선택속성, 대학축제 만족도, 대학축제 재방문의도에 차이가 있는 것으로 파악되었다. 유학생활 적응도에 따라 축제와 관련한 행동변수의 차이가 있기 때문에 향후 양자 간의 인과관계 파악에 대한 단서를 마련하였다. 결론 본 연구를 통해서 유학생의 학교생활 적응의 계기로서 대학 축제 기획에 대한 시사점을 제공하는데 의의가 있다.

Purpose The research purpose is to observe emerging foreign students in Korean colleges and to verify whether the college festival can function to facilitate to foreign student adjustment. Therefore, in order to allow more foreign students to participate in and be satisfied with college festival, festival selection attributes in college setting are needed, and also different perspectives on festival derived from overseas school life adjustment should be found. Methods Self-administered survey was conducted on Chinese students, who are account for the majority of international students, and 221 questionnaires were finally analyzed. Results Hypothesis 1: College festival selection attribute had partially a significant effect on the college festival satisfaction. Hypothesis 2: College festival satisfaction had a significant effect on the revisit intention. Through this findings, college festival selection attributes which required and expected by foreign students were found by linking selection attribute to satisfaction. Hypothesis 3: Different overseas school life adjustment groups had showed significantly different in college festival selection attribute, satisfaction and revisit intention. Since there are differences in festival-related behavior variables depending on the adjustment of international students' school life, clues have been prepared to understand the causal relationship between the festival and adjustment. Conclusion The significance of findings is that festival will be served as foreign students’ school life adjustment and deliver insight on how to prepare college festival.
