경험·발견’의 의미 기능에 기반한 ‘-니까’의 사용 양상 분석

Analysis of the Usage Patterns of '-니까' Based on the Meaning of 'Experience and Discovery: Focused on Korean Learners' Corpus Data.

‘경험·발견’의 의미로 쓰이는 연결어미 ‘-니까’는 의미 기능과 문법적 정보 간에 밀접한 관계가 있다. 본고에서는 의미 기능으로부터 문장 구성 정보, 결합 제약 정보 등을 추론해 내어서 ‘-니까’의 문법적 정보를 기술하였다. 연결어미 ‘-니까’의 사용 양상과 오류 양상을 알아보기 위해 국립국어원의 한국어 학습자 말뭉치에서 4,621개의 예문을 추출하였다. 두 개의 의미로 분류하고 의미별로 빈도와 개수를 정리하였다.의미 기능과 연관된 문법적 정보들이 복합문에서 어떻게 반영되어 있는지 확인하였다. ‘-니까’의 형태 정보 오류도 많았고, 의미 기능과 문장 구성 정보, 제약 정보를 반영하지 못한 경우도 많았다. 의미 기능은 이해했지만 문법적 정보를 잘 활용하지 못하는 경우도 있었다. 복합문 구성 과정에서 연결어미의 의미 기능과 문법적 정보로 설명할 수 없는 양상들도 다수 확인이 되었다.

The connective ending '-니까,' used in the meaning of 'experience/discovery,' holds a close relationship between its meaning and grammatical information. This paper described the grammatical information of '-니까' by deducing sentence construction information and combinatory constraints from its meaning. To examine the usage patterns and error tendencies of the connective ending '-니까,' 4,621 example sentences were extracted from the National Institute of Korean Language learner corpus, categorized into two meanings, and organized by frequency and quantity for each meaning. This paper analyzed how Korean learners utilize grammatical information associated with the meaning. There were numerous errors in the form information of '-니까,' and many instances where the meaning, sentence construction information, and constraint information were not reflected. Although the meaning was understood, there were cases where grammatical information wasn't well utilized. Furthermore, numerous instances in the construction of compound sentences couldn't be explained solely by the semantic function and grammatical information of the connective ending.
