최근 소개된 두 건의 고구려 유민 묘지명 자료

Review of two recently introduced epitaphs of Koguryo refugees: The epitaph of Lee Inhoe and the epitaph of Mrs. Cheon

2022년 중국에서 고구려 유민의 묘지명 자료 두 건이 새롭게 소개되었다. 「이인회 묘지명」과 「태부인 천씨 묘지명」이 그것이다. 이인회는 요양인으로 그 가문은 요서, 요동 일대의 세족이었다. 선대가 당의 고구려 고지 지배에 직접적으로 참여했고, 당의 고구려 침공에 직접 참여했을 가능성도 높아보인다. 다만 직접적으로 고구려 출신이라고 파악하는 것에는 좀 더 신중한 접근이 필요해 보인다. 태부인 천씨는 천현은의 딸이다. 묘지명에 따르면, 묘주 천씨 부인은 천헌성의 증손녀이라고 하는데, 가문의 세계가 기존의 자료와 차이를 보여 의문을 던진다. 기존의 자료에서 헌성과 현은이 부자관계였던 것과 달리, 천씨 부인의 묘지명에서는 헌성과 현은이 조손 관계로 나타난다. 또 부인의 조부 동제는 그동안 알려진 천씨 가문 관련 자료에서 확인되지 않았던 인물이다. 정보의 혼란이 발생한배경을 밝히는 것은 향후 과제가 될 것이다.

In 2022, two new epitaph materials for Koguryo refugees were introduced in China. These are The epitaph of Lee Inhoe and the epitaph of Mrs. Cheon. Lee Inhoe was a man of Liaoyang and his family was a powerful family from the Liaoxi and Liaodong areas. Lee Inhoe's ancestors directly participated in the Tang's control of Koguryo's old lands, and most likely participated in the Tang's invasion of Koguryo before that. However, it seems that a more cautious approach is needed to directly identify them as being from Koguryo. According to the epitaph of Mrs. Cheon, Mrs. Cheon is the daughter of Cheon Hyuneun and the great-granddaughter of Cheon Heonsung. However, the genealogy of the family differs from the existing data, raising questions. Unlike the existing data showing that Heonsung and Hyuneun were in a father-son relationship, in the epitaph of Mrs. Cheon, Heonsung and Hyuneun appear in a grand-grandson relationship. In addition, her grandfather, Dongje, is a person who has not been confirmed in any known materials related to the Cheon family. Unraveling the background of information confusion will be a future task.
