교육혁신을 위한 하이플렉스 수업 적용 사례 연구

Case study on the Application of Hyflex Classes for Educational Innovation : Focused on Analyzing the Learner’s Learning Experience

교육혁신을 위한 교수법의 하나로 최근 학습자의 요구에 맞추어 융통성 있는 학습이 가능한 하이플렉스 형태의 수업이 주목받고 있다. 하이플렉스 수업의 핵심 가치는 학습자의 선택권, 동등성, 재사용성, 그리고 접근성이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 대학의 온라인 수업 확대와 미래교육을 대비하는 새로운 수업모형 개발이 필요한 시점에서 대학교육의 혁신과 질적 향상을 위한 방안으로 하이플렉스 수업을 사이버대학의 학습자들을 대상으로 실제 적용해보고, 학습자들의 학습경험 사례를 분석하였다. 연구 방법은 반구조화된 질문지를 활용하여 소집단 면담 및 개별 인터뷰 방식으로 학습자들의 하이플렉스 학습경험에 초점을 두어 진행하였다. 학습경험 면담 내용은 5개 구성요소와 12개의 하위요소로 구분하여 의미단위로 분석하였다. 연구결과를 바탕으로 하이플렉스 수업의 장단점과 개선점을 도출하고 대학교육 혁신을 위한 새로운 수업모델로서 하이플렉스 수업을 다양한 방식으로 확대하고 효과적으로 수업에 적용할 수 있는 교수-학습전략을 제시하였다.

As one of the teaching methods for educational innovation, the high-flex type of class, which allows flexible learning according to the needs of learners, has recently been attracting attention. The core values of hyflex classes are learner choice, equality, re-usability, and accessibility. Accordingly, in this study, as a way to innovate and improve the quality of university education at a time when it is necessary to develop a new teaching model to prepare for the expansion of online classes in universities and future education, we actually applied hyflex classes to learners at cyber universities. Examples of their learning experiences were analyzed. The research method was conducted using a semi-structured questionnaire and focusing on the learners’ hyflex learning experience through small group and individual interviews. The content of the learning experience interview was divided into 5 components and 12 sub-elements and analyzed as a meaning unit. Based on the research results, the strengths and weaknesses of hyflex classes and points of improvement were derived, and as a new teaching model for innovation in university education, hyflex classes were expanded in various ways and a teaching-learning strategy that could be effectively applied to classes was presented.
