[一般論文] 해방기 잡지 『부인(婦人)』에 나타난 여성 계몽의식

이 연구는 해방기에 간행된 여성지 『부인』의 발행사항과 체제, 필진을 조사하고 수록된 기사를 통하여 『부인』의 창간 목표였던 여성 계몽의 내용을 살펴본 것이다. 『부인』이 창간되던 해방기는 일제강점기에 수탈로 인해 황폐화된 사회를 재건하기 위한 다양한 움직임이 일어나고 있었고 이러한 가운데 창간된 『부인』은 여성의 적극적인 사회 참여가 필요함을 강조하였다. 『부인』은 논설, 소설, 시, 수필, 영화, 공연, 역사, 의학, 가사, 뉴스 등 다양한 분야의 기사를 통하여 정보와 상식을 제공하였다. 특히 국내뿐 아니라 국외 여성들의 삶과 국제사회의 현황에 대한 기사를 수록하고 당시 유명 문인들의 작품을 수록하였다. 가정과 관련된 기사에서는 남편과의 관계, 시부모와의 관계, 육아, 가사, 결혼과 연애 등 다양한 주제의 내용을 수록하였고 특히 서양의 요리법과 최신 과학 정보도 제공하였다. 『부인』의 발행 초기에는 건국을 위한 여성의 역할을 정치적인 측면에서 다루고 있었으나 점차 여성들의 사회 참여를 독려하는 흐름으로 변화되었다.

This study examines women’s enlightenment awareness by investigating the issues, systems, and writings of the women’s magazine, “Madam.” During the liberation period, when “Madam” was first issued, various movements took place in the Japanese colonial era to rebuild a society devastated by exploitation, and “Madam” emphasized women’s active role in society at the time. “Madam” provided information through articles in various fields, such as editorials, novels, poems, essays, films, performances, history, medicine, lyrics, and news. In particular, the magazine included articles on women’s lives at home and abroad, the status of the international community, and works by famous writers in those days. Articles related to families included various topics such as relationships with husbands, relationships with parents-in-law, parenting, houseworks, marriage, and love; they also provided Western recipes and the latest scientific information. In the early days of the publication of “Madam,” the articles were focused on women’s role in re-establishing their country from a political perspective. However, it gradually changed to encourage women to participate in society.
