중국에서 지역과 외국학으로서의 한국학 연구

Study of Korean Studies in China from the Perspective of Area studies

본고는 중국에서 지역과 외국학을 새로운 학문의 하나로 재편성된 전후 한국학 연구 동향을 점검한 논문이다. 이를 위해 본고는 중국의 대표적인 국가급 연구 프로젝트인 국가사회과학기금 지원 한국학 관련 프로젝트와 중국 내 한국학 학술지에 게재된 학술논문의 현황 및 한국학 연구 대체적인 연구 영역을 개략적으로 살펴보았다. 이 과정에서 중국 내 한국학의 저변이 갈수록 확대되고, 그에 따라 한국학 관련 연구도 양질의 면에서 진전된 모습을 보이고 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. 연구 동향을 살펴보면 전반적으로 동아시아 지역학 시각, 중국 이론, 중국 시각의 강조와 비교연구, 양자관계 연구에 대한 관심이 고조되는 추세이다. 하지만 간학문적 연구(Interdisciplinarity) 분야로서 학제 간의 제휴와 중한 연구자들의 교류와 협력이 다소 부족한 점도 발견하였다. 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위해서 서로 다른 분야의 연구자, 서로 다른 지역과 나라의 연구자들의 활발한 소통과 협력을 제안하고자 하였다.

This article investigates the research prospect of Korean studies after area studies have been newly established as a discipline in China. This study quantitively analyzes the current research situations and research fields of Korean studies based on the examination of the Korean Studies-related research projects sponsored by National Social Science Funding which is the representative national research project in China, and the Korean Studies-related articles published on the journals in China. The findings are: 1) the foundations of Korean studies in China are expanding;2) both the quantity and quality of Korean studies in China are increasingly growing. It is thus shown that more attentions have been paid to East Asian studies, China Theory, China perspective, comparative study and bilateral relation study. However, as an interdisciplinary field, there is a lack of interdisciplinary collaboration and cooperation between Chinese and Korean researchers. It is thus suggested that more exchanges and cooperations should be needed among the researchers from different disciplines, different areas and different nations in order for the problems to be solved.
