학교 현장에서 교육복지사의 사례관리 경험에 관한 현상학적 연구

A Phenomenological Study on the Case Management Experience of School Social Worker in the School Field

본 연구는 학교 현장에 근무하는 교육복지사들의 사례관리 경험과 의미를 탐색하는 것이다. 이를 위해 대전광역시 교육청 소속으로 초, 중학교에서 사례관리 업무를 수행하고 있는 교육복지사 7명을 연구참여자로 선정하여 심층 면담을 진행하였다. 수집된 면담자료는 지오르기(Giorgi)의 현상학적 연구방법을 활용하여 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 심층면담에서 드러난 교육복지사의 사례관리 경험의 중심 현상은 ‘복합적 욕구가 있는 학생의 학교 적응을 위해 의미 있는 변화를 만들어가는 전문적 개입’으로 도출되었다. 또한 연구참여자들의 사례관리 경험은 ‘사례관리에 대한 인식’, ‘학교 사례관리의 특성과 전문적 역량’, ‘지속가능한 사례관리 실천을 위한 과제’라는 3개의 주제 묶음(범주)과 9개의 하위범주로 도출되었다. 이러한 연구 결과를 바탕으로 교육복지사들이 사례관리 업무수행을 보다 효과적으로 수행할 수 있는 몇 가지 방안을 제언하였다.

This study is to explore the experience and meaning of case management of school social workers working in the school field. To this end, seven school social workers who are performing case management in elementary and middle schools belonging to the Daejeon Metropolitan Office of Education were selected as participants for in-depth interviews. The collected interview data were analyzed using Giorgi's phenomenological research method. As a result of the analysis, the central phenomenon of the case management experience of school social workers revealed in the in-depth interview was derived as 'professional intervention that makes meaningful changes for students with complex needs to adapt to school'. In addition, the case management experience of the study participants was derived into three subject groups (categories) and nine subcategories: 'perception of case management', 'characteristics and professional competencies of school case management', and 'tasks for sustainable case management practice'. Based on these research results, several measures for school social workers to perform case management tasks more effectively were suggested.
