본 연구는 알모도바르의 영화 <신경쇠약 직전의 여자들>을 통해 나타나는 여성주체에 초점을 맞추어 영화 속 주요장면을 텍스트화하고 실제 상영시간을 기준으로 영화 속 대사와 인물 중심으로 분석을 시도하였다. 본 논문이 <신경쇠약직전의 여자들>을 연구하고자 하는 이유는 그의 영화 중, 이 작품에 등장하는 여성 인물들은 정상적인 인물보다는 스트레스성 혹은 신경쇠약에 걸린 인물로 묘사되는 서사의 특수성 때문이다. <신경쇠약 직전의 여자들>의 텍스트 분석에서 중심주제로 삼았던 부분은 주인공 페파가 이반과의 이별을 맞이하면서 극복해야 할 주체적 붕괴와 독립성에있다. 본 연구는 영화에서의 주요인물과 부차적 인물의 관계를 분석하고 언어의표현적 특징이 전달하는 의미와 서사를 해명한다. 또한 알모도바르가 서술한 여성주체의 기능을 중심으로 영화에서 일어나고 있는 비주체적 여성들의 유형을구분한다. 이를 통해 본 연구는 여성인물들을 탈남성적 묘사로 전개하는 여성의주체, 그 주체의 회복, 혹은 새로운 주체의 모색이라는 흐름까지 확인할 수 있는계기가 될 것이다.
This paper focused on the problems of the women subject that appears in Almodovar’s <Women on the verge of a nervous breakdown> by texting the main scenes in the movie which is based on actual running time to analyze the lines and characters in the movie. In the textual analysis of <Women on the verge of a nervous breakdown>, the central theme is the main character Peppa is in her self-reliance collapse and independence to overcome as she faces a breakup with Ivan. It analyzes the relationship between the main and secondary characters in the film to explain the meaning and narrative in which the expressive features of language are projected into the screen. The reason why this paper wants to pursue <Women on the verge of a nervous breakdown> is that it deals with women subject, can be seen as a pioneering essay that laid the foundation of film theory from the psychoanalytic point of view in the 20th century. Also, the female characters in <Women on the verge of a nervous breakdown> are described as women with stress or nervous breakdown rather than a normal person, is the specificity of the narrative. This study distinguishes the types of non-subjective women in film from the focus of female subjects described by Almodovar. It will be an opportunity to see the recovery of the subject, the restoration of the subject or even the search for a new subject of a women who develops these into de-maleization depiction.
