중등 정보 사사과정 학생 지도 사례

A Case Study of Instructing Middle School Students in the IT Mentorship-introduction Program: Based on Correlation Analysis by Measuring the Similarity between Weather Information and Music Charts

본 연구는 중등 정보 사사 연구에서 발생한 주제 변경에 대한 사례를 다루고 있다. 기상정보와 음원차트 간의 유사도 측정을 통한 비교 분석 프로젝트를 진행하면서 학생들은 프로젝트 진행을 위한 배경을 습득하였으나 프로젝트가 진행됨에 따라 학생들의 예상과는 달리 프로젝트 진행에 부족한 부분들이 발견되었다. 이에 따라 연구 주제 변경과 연구 프로세스 변경 등을 위한 교수자의 개입이 발생하였다. 사례에서 교수자는 학생들의 혼란을 줄이기 위해 기존의 연구 주제에서 사용되었던 지식을 최대한 재사용할 수 있고 학생들의 기존 주제의 특성을 고려한 새로운 주제를 새로 제시하였다. 그리고 기존에 사용되던 데이터 분석 프로세스 중 일부를 차용하여 기존에 수행되어 있던 단계에 이어서 수행될 수 있도록 하였다. 이러한 사례연구에서 사용한 방법을 다른 연구들에서도 적용하여 연구 방향의 변경이 있을 시에 교수자의 대응에 도움이 될 것이다.

This study explores cases of topic changes that occurred in a middle school information science research project. While conducting a comparative analysis project on the similarity measurement between weather information andmusic charts, students acquired the background necessary for project progression. However, as the project advanced, discrepancies between students’ expectations and the actual progress revealed deficiencies in the project. Consequently, there was an intervention by the instructor to address changes in the research topic and research process. In this case, the instructor aimed to minimize student confusion by reusing knowledge previously employedin the original research topic and introducing a new topic that considered the characteristics of the students’ initial focus. Additionally, the instructor adopted some elements of the previously used data analysis process to ensurecontinuity with the steps already undertaken. The methods employed in this case study could prove helpful for instructors in other research scenarios, providing guidance on adapting to changes in research direction.
