Conditions for living together: Focusing on self-love, friendship, and community

이 연구의 목적은 첫째, 폴 리쾨르 철학을 중심으로 아리스토텔레스의 『니코마코스 윤리학』 8, 9권의 자기애와 친애 개념을 재해석하고, 이를 “네 이웃을 네 자신 같이 사랑하라”는 기독교의 가르침과 교차 탐색하고, 둘째, 아리스토텔레스가 말하는 ‘더불어 살기(suzèn)’가 리쾨르 철학에서 어떻게 정의로운 제도들에 의한 공동체주의로 발전했는지 고찰하고, 셋째, 이 과정에서 유교적 공동체 연구를 위한 유교적 삶과 리쾨르 윤리의 교차점을 탐색하는 데 있다. 그래서 이 연구는 동서양의 친애 개념과 공동체 윤리 개념들을 중심 주제로 다루었다. 이를 위해 제2장에서 자기애에서 친애로의 발전 단계를 ‘반성성’을 기초로 다루었고, 제3장에서 리쾨르의 공동체주의로서의 정의로운 제도들의 문제를 탐구했고, 제4장에서 유교적 삶과 공동체 문제를 자기애, 친애, 그리고 효 개념을 매개로 살펴보았다.

The purpose of this study is, first, to reinterpret the concepts of self-love and philia in books 8 and 9 of Aristotle’s Nicomachean Ethics, focusing on the philosophy of Paul Ricoeur, and to apply them to the Christian message of “love your neighbor as yourself.” Second, I examine how Aristotle’s ‘living together (suzèn)’ developed into communitarianism through just institutions in Ricoeur’s philosophy, and third, in this process, I study Confucian life for the study of Confucian community. and Ricoeur’s ethics. Therefore, in this study, the Eastern and Western concepts of friendship and community ethics were treated as central topics. To this end, in Chapter 2, the development stage from self-love to philia was dealt with on the basis of ‘reflexivity’, in Chapter 3, the problem of just systems as Ricoeur’s communitarianism was explored, and in Chapter 4, Confucianism’s Life and community issues were examined through the concepts of self-love, friendship, and filial piety.
