The Chosun film history(korean film history)of 1920s is very important. Because this time is the period of national darkness by Japanese imperialism. During this period a few cine artists who have a national soul moved in shanghai because Japan official had strongly inspected korean movie. One of the Refugee of Korean cine-artist is Jeong, Gitak. At that time a movie dealing with patriotism could not be producted in korea. But Korean refugee filmmaker could made <Aegukhon (애국혼)>(1928) in Sanghai. its story is that issued Ahn Joong-keun shot to Itohirobumi. This film is only one resistance Japan during the japanese imperialism period. The meaning of resistance japan movie is shown resisting to japanese imperialism. Jeong, Gitak made the next films, as director and actor. The story of <Hwagulgangdo (화굴강도)>(1928) is a sword of revenges about using violence under struggle senses and <Samungtalmi (삼웅탈미)>(1928) is a woman scramble between three hero for loving. A professor of the Beijing Film Academy, Dr. Chen shan told about a activity of korean cine artist, Jeong, Gitak. in 1920s at Sanghai and then his film, <A road of bright future(광명지로)>(1933), <Goodbye shanghai (Jall Itgeora Sanghaeyeo (잘있거라 상해여)>(1934) distinguished. Moreover Chung ki-tak, and his group contributed to Hwayang Film Company the United Photoplay Service Ltd. It is regrettable that their activity must be ended in 1937 because of Japan occupied in shanghai by their winning the second shanghai war. Korea and China's connection is coming out of their identy between them. And also they felt a painful in a national ruin. So they want to produce movies which help for Korean and Chinese to console thier grief of national decay. Above mentioned the film history of the cine-artists in Shanghai have to be recorded as one of the part in korean film history. It is our responsibility to forgive for the fault of the past history. So We cannot help researching their movies which were forgot from us for a reason of shooting in china or Chinese audience and producer and enrolling them in Korean film history. Especially we must surely memorized Jeong, Gitak's Film Works in Korean film history(Chosun film history).
