The selection examination for secondary school teacher was centering around a written examination till now, therefore it had a limit to evaluate actual teaching ability. However the selection examination for secondary school teacher will be amended by decree of ministry of education and human resources development No. 914, and actual teaching ability will be evaluated at the 3rd test of the examination for secondary school teacher by this amendation. In a word communication ability and learning guidance ability as a teacher will be concentrated on through demonstration class at the 3rd test. This paper researches on improvement the 3rd test which should evaluate actuall teaching ability corresponding to characteristic of drama and film subject; what kind of tests should be included in the 3rd test? what points should be evaluated specifically at the 3rd test? How should the 3rd test be progressed? We proposed that the 3rd test should be composed of 3 steps(① teaching planning, ② class-demonstrating, and ③ an interview on the demonstration) at first. Then we developed evaluation area and standards for each step. We also suggested multiple-choice question and demand-supplying question for fairness and validity of this examination. In addition, we worked out some example questions and examination system for the 3rd test of the examination for secondary school teacher.
