TV shows are usually judged as social phenomenons or flow or style, not an art work itself. In this article, TV shows, especially drama series, are valuable as an art work and they share the similar critical field with films. TV shows and films are similar with these reasons: 1. The both are moving-image storytelling media. 2. Some TV shows are has the cinematic visuality. 3. Mini-series are in the middle of TV and film. 4. There are high budget production of prime time series. Films and TV shows are grown up by different medium and they improve different narrative structure, but they are closest media with the same moving-image storytelling one. There are two televisuality in TV shows since 1980s: the videographic and the cinematic. Especially, the cinematic TV shows have feature-style cinematography. Mini-series is treated as a big event or loss-leader of TV: its high-budget production value allows the cinematic experience to the viewers, and its longer running time than film allows more elaborate plot lines. Same things happened in prime time TV drama shows. Prime time TV shows are improved on fictional and technical ways since 1980s. Prime time TV shows treat various subjects, and even challenge politically sensitive ones. Cinematic TV shows are grown up as film, and they can be valued on same critical field. There is no good or bad, high or low status with films and TV shows in time of culture convergence. Acceptors, who are sum of all cultural viewers and listeners and fans, are treats them as a same medium.
