As sémiotique of Kristeva is meaning a communication for subject depending on the nonlinguistic ways, Grenouille of Perfume(2006) illustrates it. He frequently crosses the boundary between sémiotique and symbolique. Here the smell is a kind of semiotic chora. Blue painting aroud Grenouille is abjection. Abjection is a psychological process shoving the strange, the different, and the threatening out of the boundary so that subject can ensure the stabilized identity. It calls the blue of Grenouille. In Perfume, yellow, orange, red, and purple are consistently arranged by way of blue within the color-circle system. As ever narrative is made process in correspondence with the other parts of image, blue leads the framework of narrative through relationship with the other colors. Subject is ordinarily faced with the dirty and sickening objects(abject), and responds to it(abjection). S/he experiences abject and resists it. Abjection, one of the most fundamental processes in the course of subject, indicates a condition that s/he resists or expels the strange and then makes always I's vague boundary. The dynamic and dialectical boundary is the meaning-making place. Grenouille is abject oppressed in spectator's unconsciousness and the spectators respond to the blue of abjection at the ambiguous boundary.
