간호대학생의 노화불안과 노인돌봄태도와의 관계에서 돌봄효능감의 매개효과

Mediating effect of caring efficacy on the relationship between aging anxiety and attitude toward caring for the older adults in nursing students

목적 본 연구의 목적은 간호대학생의 노화불안과 노인돌봄태도와의 관계에서 돌봄효능감의 매개효과를 검증하는 것이다. 방법 본 연구의 대상자는 C도와 J도에 소재한 대학의 간호학과에 재학 중인 3~4학년 간호대학생 142명이다. 자료수집은 2023년 5월 25일에서 8월 11일까지 실시되었다. 자료분석은 SPSS 23.0 프로그램을 이용하여 서술적 통계, independent t-test, Pearson’s correlation coefficients, hierarchical multiple regression과 Sobel test를 실시하였다. 결과 첫째, 연구대상자의 노화불안은 돌봄효능감과 노인돌봄태도와 부적인 상관관계를 보였으며, 돌봄효능감과 노인돌봄태도 간에는 정적인 상관관계가 있었다. 둘째, 연구대상자의 노화불안과 노인돌봄태도와의 관계에서 돌봄효능감은 완전 매개역할을 하는 것으로 확인되었다. 즉, 간호대학생의 노화불안은 돌봄효능감을 변화시킴으로써 노인돌봄태도에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 결론 본 연구를 통해서 간호대학생의 노화불안이 있는 상태에서 노인돌봄태도를 개선하기 위해서는 돌봄효능감을 향상시킬 필요성이 있음이 확인되었다. 따라서 향후 간호대학생의 노인돌봄태도에 대한 프로그램 개발시 돌봄효능감의 요소를 포함한 체계적인 프로그램의 개발이 필요하다.

Objectives The purpose of this study was to investigate the mediating effects of caring efficacy on the relationship between aging anxiety and attitude toward caring for the older adults in nursing students. Methods The participants were 142, 3rd and 4th year nursing students in C and J provinces. Data were collected from May 25 to August 11, 2023, through a self-reported structured questionnaire. Data analysis was performed using descriptive statistics, independent t-test, Pearson’s correlation coefficients, hierarchical multiple re-gression, and Sobel test using the SPSS 23.0 program. Results Aging anxiety correlated negatively with caring efficacy and attitude toward caring for the older adults. Care efficacy correlated positively with attitude toward caring for the older adults. Second, care efficacy was ob-served to have a complete mediating role in the relationship between the subject's aging anxiety and attitude to-ward caring for the older adults. In other words, it was found that aging anxiety among nursing students affects attitude toward caring for the older adults by changing caring efficacy. Conclusions Through this study, it was confirmed that there is a need to improve care efficacy in nursing students to improve their attitude toward caring for the older adults in the presence of aging anxiety. Therefore, when de-veloping a program on nursing students' attitudes toward caring for the older adults in the future, it is necessary to develop a systematic program that includes elements of care efficacy.
