A satire intends to create a laugh even though it is aggressive to others and is a conflict between the real and the ideal. I want to study the rhetoric strategy of satire comedy in the early 2000's that satires various subject materials. There is a protagonist who has a conflict between the real and the ideal inside in him. The satiric personas in the first half of satire comedy criticize both a protagonist who wants to make compromise with realities of life and an anti-protagonist who commits misdeed. In the second half of satire comedy the protagonist aims at utopia by introspection and changing himself. These movies reveal the duplicity of character and theme through irony which is rhetoric strategy. Satirists in these movies criticize the protagonist who makes compromise with realities of life in circumstance which are changing and gives up the ideal not to cope with them actively, after that the protagonist aims at the ideal by changing himself through introspection. The individual located in the society in the early 2000’s in reality on Korea, and these movies show that this consciousness of self precedes introspection.
