The Vietnam War has been regarded as a strange memory in Korean Society. It was an unusual experience that Korean Army as an foreign troops in other country. <White Badge> and <R-Point> as popular films represented confusing memory of Vietnam War in each period, 90's and 2000's of Korean society. <White Badge> was represented harm of Korean society and subjects with the imperialistic violence of the U. S government by interpellated memory of subjects' and reconstruct it. The film, futhermore, emphasized to correct collective memory of Korean society. This tendency was reflected to try reconstruct relationship between state and subjects. <R-point> denied to accept a myth 'korea is always a good nation' in specialization of horror genre. Even though most of characters who were guilty, killed by ghosts, the film asked the responsibility of korean society. It asserted that Korean army to send troops overseas is not only responsibility of Korean government but entire Korean society. Both films showed that Koreans' perspective to the U. S, self esteem in global market since 1990's. The korean popular film industry in 2000's try to show Korean society itself, not to reconstruct a historical events. This is an evidence of showing and examine 'ourselves'. The Vietnam War is an exceptional memory in Korean modern history why it can be a good example for looking back and forward. <White Badge> & <R - point> hope to interpellate the Vietnam war as a new one. These asserted that Korean society enjoyed the pleasure of imperialistic violence in Vietnam war. Both films showed violence aspect of war and constructual violence. These explain that the role of dominant state ideology and popular arts.
