A Study on Visualizing scenario

A scenario contains all information about tasks and goals that people participating in film production must perform and achieve in their department. All areas of film production including direction obtain information on the film from the scenario and plan the general direction and methods of works in the areas. The production designer also analyzes the scenario and plans visualization in the preparatory stage of production. If a scenario is selected to make a movie, the director and the heads of different areas analyze the scenario based on their ideas through data collection, discussion, selection and control. In these processes, the style and form of the movie are decided and the decided guidelines are applied to all works of visualization in the department of fine arts. The production designer can visualize the theme and atmosphere of a scenario properly and stylize the personalities of characters faithfully only when he/she makes thorough research in the process of scenario analysis. The analysis and visualization of scenarios are extremely important in film production. It is because visual appearance, emotional atmosphere and the communication of themes depend on the results of the analysis and visualization of scenarios. Thus the present study examined factors that production designers must concentrate on in their scenario analysis and elements that they must consider in visualizing analyzed contents on the screen.
