The Understanding of Fentanyl Addiction in Women

본 연구에서는 최근 급증하고 있는 펜타닐 중독의 복잡한 상황을 살펴보았다. 펜타닐의 강력한 진통 효과, μ-오피오이드 수용체에 대한 친화력을 중심으로 다른 아편성 진통제와 구별되는 특징을 분석하였다. 또, 통증 완화를 위한 펜타닐의 빠른 작용 시간과 친유성을 효능및 과다 복용의 관점에서 논하였다. 한편, 이러한 펜타닐의 특성이 여성의 중독 경험을 차별화하는 생물학적 및 임상적 특성을 조명하였고, 이것을 사회 문화적 차원과 연결하여 분석함으로써 성별에 따른 중독 치료 및 지원 메커니즘의 필요성을 강조하였다. 이 연구는 펜타닐 중독 여성이 직면한 생물학적, 심리적, 사회적 복잡성을 수용하는 약물 정책 및 개입전략에 대한 보다 정교한 접근 방식을 주장하며, 궁극적으로 펜타닐 남용 문제를 해결하기 위해 다층적인 전략이 필요함을 밝혔다.

This study examines the increasingly complex situation of fentanyl addiction. It analyzes the distinct characteristics of fentanyl, such as its potent analgesic effects and affinity for μ-opioid receptors, which set it apart from other opioid analgesics. Furthermore, the study discusses the rapid onset of action and lipophilicity of fentanyl in the context of efficacy and overdose potential. Meanwhile, it highlights the biological and clinical characteristics that differentiate the addiction experience of women and connects these with sociocultural dimensions, thereby emphasizing the need for gender-specific addiction treatment and support mechanisms. This research advocates for a more sophisticated approach to drug policy and intervention strategies that accommodate the biological, psychological, and social complexities faced by women addicted to fentanyl, ultimately arguing for a multilayered strategy to address the issue of fentanyl misuse.
