인천항 중고자동차 수출 활성화 방안에 관한 연구

Revitalizing Exports of Used Cars from the Port of Incheon

본 연구는 인천항의 중고자동차 수출현황 및 분석을 통하여 보다 수출을 활성화 할 수 있는 실질적인 지원방안을 제시하는데 있다. 2023년 상반기 인천항을 통해 수출한 중고자동차는 234,614대이며, 전년동기대비 56.9%가 증가하였고 전국 비중 76.3%에 달한다. 그러나 중고자동차 수출에 대한 최근 연구들은 많지 않은 상황이며, 중고자동차 수출이 인천지역의 새로운 수출동력으로 안착하기 위해서는 다양한 연구가 필요한 시점이다. 따라서 최근 활성화되고 있는 인천항 중고자동차 수출증대를 위해서는 첫째, 자동차운반선(PCTC) 및 컨테이너항로의 유치, 둘째, 복합운송의 확대, 셋째, 중고자동차의 컨테이너 적입 장소 확보, 넷째, 각국의 항만 물동량 유치를 위한 인센티브제 운영, 마지막으로 중고자동차 수출단지의 역할을 할 인천 스마트 오토밸리 활성화와 적기 제공 등이 필요하다.

Purpose: This study presents practical support measures for problems found in the status and analysis of used car exports from the Port of Incheon. Research design, data, and methodology: The research method focuses on a study of the literature. Results: In the first half of 2023, there were 234,614 used cars exported through Incheon’s port, an increase of 56.9% compared to the same period in the previous year, which accounted for 76.3% of national exports. However, there has not been enough research conducted recently on the export of used cars, and it is time to perform various studies to promote used cars as a new export engine for Incheon. Conclusions: Accordingly, to increase the export of used cars from Incheon, it is necessary to implement the following. First, attract pure car and truck carriers (PCTCs) and container routes; second, expand multimodal transport; third, secure container loading sites for used cars; fourth, operate an incentive system to attract port traffic from different countries; and lastly, revitalize Incheon Smart Auto Valley to serve as an export complex for used cars, providing it on time.
