심리상담기관을 이용하고 있는 어머니의 남성상담사 인식에 대한 주관성 연구

A Subjective Study on the Perception of Male Counselors among Mothers Utilizing Psychological Counseling Services

목적 본 연구에서는 심리상담기관을 이용하고 있는 어머니들의 남성상담사에 대한 인식을 알아보고 남성상담사에 대한 주관성과 그 특성을 알아보고자 하였다. 방법 이를 위하여 경기도 화성시 소재의 남성상담사가 상주해있는 심리상담기관 두곳을 방문하여 10명의 어머니들과 개별 심층면담을 통해 153개의 진술문을 도출하였으며 총 24명의 어머니들을 P표본으로 선정하여 Q분류를 실시하였으며, 수집된 자료는 QUANL Program을 통해 분석하였다. 결과 연구결과로는 총 3개의 유형으로 분류되었으며, 유형 1 ‘긍정적인 남성의 표본이라고 생각하는 건강한 남성상형’으로 나타났으며, 유형 2 ‘전통적인 성역할을 강조하는 성별거부감 형’, 유형 3 ‘좋지만 익숙하지 않은 양가감정형’으로 나타났다. 결론 본 연구는 Q방법론을 통해 심리상담기관을 이용하고 있는 어머니들의 남성상담사의 주관적인 인식유형과 그 특성을 알아보고 상담현장에서 일하고 있는 남성상담사의 직업적인 정체성과 남성상담사에 대한 인식개선 과 상담교육 및 상담 수련과정에 대한 방향성을 제시하고자 한다.

Objectives This study aimed to investigate the perceptions of mothers utilizing psychological counseling services towards male counselors, exploring subjectivity and characteristics associated with these perceptions. Methods For this purpose, a male counselor based in Hwaseong, Gyeonggi Province, visited two psychological counseling centers where he conducted individual in-depth interviews with 10 mothers, resulting in 153 statements. A total of 24 mothers were selected as the P sample, and Q classification was conducted. The col-lected data were analyzed using the QUANL Program. Results The research results revealed a total of three types: Type 1, characterized by a 'Positive Perception of Healthy Male Archetype'; Type 2, identified as 'Gender Aversion with Emphasis on Traditional Gender Roles'; and Type 3, manifested as the 'Ambivalent Feelings of Appreciation but Unfamiliarity. Conclusions Through the Q methodology, this study aims to find out the subjective perception patterns and char-acteristics of male counselors of mothers using psychological counseling institutions, and to suggest the pro-fessional identity of male counselors working in the counseling field and the direction of counseling education and counseling training process for male counselors.
