The purpose of this study is to discuss a development plan for EPTA through ESP perspective. In order to achieve the objective, a total of 103 pilot test takers were surveyed and nine interviewees were selected for in-depth interviews. They were divided three different groups according to the pilot’s flight experience (31 captain pilots, 42 first officer pilots, and 30 general commercial pilots). As a result, EPTA is recommended to provide test sample grade answers to improve the reliability of test results. In addition, to adjust test difficulty, it will be needed to increase the proportion of Part 1 and increase the response time of Part 2. It is also necessary to establish a standardized EPTA training program for general commercial pilots or to hold regular aviation English seminars to improve EPTA capability of pilots. It will also be required to expand the location and time of the test and to reduce the test fee. Regarding the introduction of the advanced foreign aviation English test system, there is need to delegate EPTA to airline company or maintain qualification above Level 4 by finishing EPTA ground lessons like JLTA (Japan). Moreover, like RELTA in Australia, EPTA questions should be provided in the form of actual pictures and photos of cockpit and flight conditions to help test takers understand the test bette
