고대 중국 사회에서 제사는 매우 중요한 국가의 대사였다. 문헌에서도 국가와 사람을 다스리고 造化하는 선행 요건인 제사의 중대성을 적고 있다. 또 제사와 전쟁은 왕권 실현에 있어 불가분의 관계성을 맺고 있었다는 점도 인지할 수 있다. 이들 기록의 시대적 정황은 주대의 예제와 국가 운용 기조를 담고 있지만 이미 주대 이전의 국가형성 단계인 하대 조기 시점부터 人祭와 人殉의 흔적들이 고고자료 속에서 보이기 시작하며 그 발단이 형성된다. 주대 이후에는 주례의 法古가 지속적으로 이루어졌으며 후대 왕조에 이르러 주례의 실체는 예제 전범의 반열에 올라 현창되었다. 본 연구는 선진시기 人祭와 人殉의 출현과 이후 순장 전환 과정에서 보이는 人殉의 멸절과 俑殉의 성행에서 표출되는 사회적 인식과 변화 현상을 살펴보고 이를 바탕으로 시기적 개별성에 따라 노정되는 人祭, 人殉 및 俑殉의 고고학적 투영과 표현들을 조망하고자 한다. 이러한 작업은 물질자료에서 극복되기 어려운 고고학적 천착의 한계를 보충하기 위한 관찰의 일환이며 이를 통해 텍스트와의 비판적 정합을 모색해보려는 목적에 다가가기 위한 것이다.
In ancient Chinese society, ancestors were very important ambassadors of the state. The literature also writes about the importance of ancestral rites, which are a prerequisite for governing and reforming the nation and people. We can also recognize that ancestral rites and war were inextricably linked in the realization of royal authority. The historical context of these records contains examples and state management principles of the Zhou Dynasty, but traces of human immolation and entombment of funeral human began to be visible in archaeological materials from the early period of the Later Dynasty, the stage of state formation before the Zhou Dynasty, and the beginning was formed. After the Zhou dynasty, the regulations for the ritual were continuously implemented, and in later dynasties, the reality of the ritual was elevated to the rank of examples and exemplars. This study examines the social perception and change phenomenon expressed in the emergence of Human immolation and Entombment of Funeral Human in the advanced period and the prevalence of human extinction and burial in the subsequent transition to burial, and based on this, the human being exposed according to the individuality of the period. The aim is to look at the archaeological projections and expressions of immolation, Entombment of Funeral Human, and Entombment of Funeral Terrcotta.
