NIE 지도사의 신문활용교육 지도 경험에 대한 현상학적 연구

NIE Instructors' Experiences in Teaching 'Newspaper in Education': A Phenomenological Study

본 연구는 NIE 지도사의 신문활용교육 지도 경험에 대한 의미를 파악하고자 하는 데 목적이 있었다. 이러한 목적을 달성하기 위해 사회교육단체인 ‘제주NIE학회’를 창립한 NIE 지도사 4명을 대상으로 현상학적 연구방법 가운데 Colaizzi의 분석방법을 사용하여 경험의 의미를 도출하였다. 그 결과 3개의 범주, 8개의 대주제, 24개의 소주제로 분류되었고, 3개의 범주는 각각 ‘NIE를 만나다’, ‘갈등과 혼란 속에서’, ‘NIE와 함께 성장하다’로 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 한 주요 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, NIE는 공동체의 가치를 더욱 중요하게 인식하도록 이끌어 주어 사회에 기여 하고자 하는 삶의 태도를 형성하게 도와준다. 둘째, 공교육에 맞는 NIE 과정을 마련하여 학생들에게 적용한다면 2022 개정 교육과정 핵심역량을 키우는 데 도움이 될 뿐만 아니라 영상으로 치우치는 문제를 해결하는 데 좋은 역할을 할 것이다. 셋째, NIE 침체에서 벗어나고자 한다면 가장 먼저 지도사들의 역량을 키우는 일이 우선 되어야 한다. 본 연구는 현장 지도사들의 생생한 경험을 바탕으로 NIE 지도 경험의 본질과 의미를 파악하였다는 데 의의가 있다.

The purpose of this study was to comprehend the significance of newspaper utilization in education, as experienced by NIE instructors. To achieve this goal, the purpose of this study was to understand the meaning of the NIE instructors’ experience in teaching “Newspaper In Education”. To achieve this goal, the meaning of experience was derived using Colaizzi's analysis method among the phenomenological research methods for four NIE instructors who founded the Jeju NIE Society, a social education organization. As a result, it was classified into three categories, eight major topics, and 24 sub-topics, and the three categories were 'Meet NIE', 'In Conflict and Confusion', and 'Growing with NIE', respectively. The main conclusions based on these results are as follows. First, NIE helps form a life attitude to contribute to society by leading to more important recognition of community values. Second, if an NIE course is prepared for public education and applied to students, it will not only help develop core competencies in the 2022 revised curriculum, but also play a good role in solving video-oriented problems. Third, if you want to get out of the NIE recession, the first priority should be to develop the capabilities of instructors. This study is meaningful in that it grasped the nature and meaning of the NIE instructors experience based on the vivid experiences of field instructors.
