A Ecological Reading the Bible from the perspective of Christian Liberal-Arts

이 논문은 기독교교양학 강의실에서 생태학적 성서 읽기의 의미와 내용을 연구한다. 연구의 방법론으로는 기독교교양학의 교차구성방법론을 사용한다. 교차구성방법론이란 기독교신학과 교양학이 서로의 목적과 형식과 내용을 교차하여 각자를 구현하고 구성하도록 하는 방법이다. 이 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위해 논문은 먼저 생태학적 감수성을 정의한다. 논문은 생태학적 감수성의 세 가지 주요 주제, 곧 연민과 공감의 심화 및 확장, 네트워크 속에 있는 비인간 생명체 앞에 책임적인 존재가 되려는 인식, 인간과 비인간 자연의 공동 운명을 제시한다. 이후 구체적인 성서 본문을 선정하여 성서 본문과 생태학적 주제를 교차로 구성한다. 처음 주제는 성서에서 출발하여 현실을 성찰하고, 두 번째 주제는 사상사에서 시작하여 성서의 본문을 새롭게 읽는다. 세 번째는 성서 본문을 두고 간략하게 생태학적 주석을 한다. 이와 같은 연구를 통해 기독교 성서 및 전통이 생태학의 전망에서도 여전히 유효하며 현 생태학 논의에서 희망 담론에 공헌할 수 있음을 밝힌다.

This paper explores the ecological meaning and content of the Bible in the context of Christian liberal arts. The research methodology employed is the cross-constitutive methodology (交叉構成方法論), which facilitates the mutual implementation and construction of Christian theology and liberal arts by crossing their respective purposes, forms, and contents. To achieve the goal of this research, the paper first conceptualizes ecological sensitivity. It characterizes three key themes of ecological sensitivity: the enhancement and broadening of compassion and empathy, the acknowledgement of oneself as a responsible entity amidst non-human entities within the life network, and the embodying of the shared fate of human and non-human nature. The paper then selects specific scriptural passages that convey ecological motives. The first theme begins with the Bible and reflects on reality related to the ecological crisis, the second theme starts with the history of ideas and re-reads the biblical text, and the third theme briefly provides an ecological commentary on the biblical text. This research ultimately demonstrates that Christian scriptures and tradition persist as relevant from an ecological standpoint and have the potential to contribute to the discussions about hope within ongoing ecological debates.
