노인의 사회경제수준, 만성질병 개수, 수단적 일상생활수행능력과 우울 간의 종단적 관계

The Longitudinal Relationship Between Socioeconomic Status, the number of Chronic Disease, iADL and Depression among Older People: Using Latent Growth Curve Modeling

본 연구의 목적은 노인의 사회경제적 수준, 만성질병 개수, 수단적 일상생활수행능력과 우울 간의 종단적 변화를 살펴보는것이다. 본 연구에서는 고령화패널조사(KLoSA) 6차(2016년), 7차(2018년), 8차(2020년) 기본조사를 활용하여 노인의 사회경제적 수준이우울에 영향을 미치는 만성질병 개수와 수단적 일상생활수행능력의 이중매개효과를 살펴보았다. 잠재성장모형을 분석한 결과, 노인의우울은 종단적인 변화를 보이는 것으로 나타났다. 노인의 사회경제적 수준, 만성질병 개수와 수단적 일상생활수행능력은 우울의 초기값과 기울기에 유의한 영향을 미쳤고, 사회경제적 수준이 우울에 영향을 미칠 때, 만성질병 개수, 만성질병 개수와 수단적 일상생활수행능력은 매개효과를 보였으며, 만성질병 개수가 우울에 영향을 미칠 때 수단적 일상생활수행능력은 매개효과를 보였다. 마지막으로, 본연구결과의 의의와 제한점, 앞으로의 연구 방향에 대해 논의하였다.

The purpose of this paper was to examine the longitudinal changes in socioeconomic levels, the number of chronic diseases, instrumental activities of daily living (iADL), and depression among the elderly. The 6th (2016), 7th (2018), and 8th (2020) basic surveys of the Korean Longitudinal Study of Aging (KLoSA) were used in the paper. The research hypotheses were supported through latent growth curve modeling. The results showed longitudinal changes in depression among the elderly. It was found that socioeconomic levels, the number of chronic diseases, and iADL had a significant effect on the intercept and slope of depression in the elderly, when socioeconomic levels affected depression, the number of chronic diseases and iADL showed mediating effects. Additionally, iADL had a mediating effect on the relationship between the number of chronic diseases and depression. Finally, the implications, limitations, and directions for future studies were discussed.
