연구목적 본 연구는 초등 학습자를 위한 뉴스 리터러시 수업 프로그램을 개발하는 데 목적이 있다. 연구방법 이 연구에서는 뉴스 리터러시 수업 프로그램 개발을 위해 뉴스 리터러시 관련 이론을 고찰한 후 교육과정과 교과서, 학습자의 이해 양상을 분석하였다. 연구결과 뉴스 리터러시 수업 목표를 지식, 기능, 태도 영역으로 구분해 제시하였고 수업 절차를 접근, 분석, 판단, 생산, 성찰의 다섯 단계로 제안하였다. 결론 뉴스 리터러시 수업은 초등학습자가 뉴스에 접근하고, 이해, 판단하며 생산 및 협력하는 소통 능력을 길러야 한다. 이 연구 결과가 초등학교 매체 영역 수업 설계에 기초 자료 역할을 할 수 있기를 기대한다.
Purpose: This study aimed to develop a program for news literacy classes for elementary school students. Methods: In this research, we examined theories related to news literacy before analyzing curriculum, textbooks, and students' comprehension patterns to develop a program for news literacy classes. Results: The objectives of the news literacy class were presented by dividing them into the areas of knowledge, skills, and attitudes. The instructional stages were proposed as five steps: access, analyze, evaluate, produce, and reflect. Conclusion: News literacy classes should cultivate elementary school students' abilities to access, comprehend, judge, and engage in productive and collaborative communication with the news. It is hoped that the results of this study can serve as foundational material for designing media-related lessons in elementary school.
