전라북도 거주 여성 청･중년층의 지속거주의사 영향요인 탐색: 지방정부의 재정지출과 지방정부 인식을 중심으로

Exploring Factors Influencing the Willingness of Young and Middle-Aged Women to Continue Residing in Jeollabuk do: Focusing on Local Government Financial Expenditure and Perception of Local Government

본 연구는 오늘날 청･중년층의 인구 유출이 지역사회 내 심각한 수준의 사회적 문제로 부각되고 있는 현실 속에서, 전라북도 시･군에 거주하고 있는 여성 청년 및 중년층의 지속거주의사에 영향을 미치는 요인을 탐구하였다. 구체적으로 ‘여성 청･중년층의 지속거주의사에 영향을 미치는 요인은 무엇인가?’ 라는 연구 질문을 상정하였으며 연구의 공간적 범위로 전라북도 지역을 대상으로 하여 지방정부의 재정지출 및 지방정부에 대한 인식이 청･중년층 여성의 지속거주의사에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 분석하였다. 이를 위해 온라인 설문조사 및 지역통계 자료를 활용하였으며, 다수준 분석 (HLM)을 통해 실증적으로 영향력을 규명하였다. 연구결과에 따르면 지방정부 재정지출 가운데 개 발정책이, 그리고 지방정부에 대한 인식 가운데 신뢰와 능력에 대한 만족이 지속거주의사를 긍정적 으로 강화하는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 통해 본 연구는 청년층 및 중년층의 심각한 유출 및 지역의 소멸 위험성을 경험하는 지역에서의 핵심인구인 여성 청･중년층의 정주성을 강화할 수 있는 전략 및 정책을 구상하는데 중요한 함의를 제공하였다.

This study investigates the factors influencing the willingness of young and middle-aged women to continue residing in Jeollabuk do, in the current context of the severe social problem of youth and middle-aged population outflow. As the research question, we posed What factors influence the continued residence intentions of young and middle-aged women? and focused on Jeollabuk-do as its geographical scope. Based on the previous researches, we analyzed how the financial expenditures of local governments and the perception of local governments affect the willingness of young and middle-aged women to remain in these areas. Online surveys and regional statistical data were utilized, and multilevel analysis(HLM) was conducted to empirically determine the influence of these factors. According to the results, the development policies of local government’s financial expenditures and the satisfaction with trust and competence in the local governments positively enhance the willingness to continue residing. These findings provide significant implications for devising strategies and policies to strengthen the settlement of young and middle-aged women in local cities facing severe outflow and risk of depopulation.
