Exploring the Establishment of a Marine Tourism Promotion Law System based on Marine Tourism Phenomena

With the enactment of the Marine Leisure Tourism Promotion Act, this study aims to respond to the expansion of marine tourism by establishing a legal system that can regulate marine tourism phenomena and further suggest legal measures and directions for fostering new industries related to marine tourism. Based on the analysis of the current laws related to marine tourism, the direction and plan for establishing an integrated and systematic marine tourism promotion law system and supplementary contents of individual laws related to marine tourism were derived. It was suggested that it is necessary to establish a relationship between the Framework Act on Tourism, the Framework Act on Maritime Fisheries Development, and the Marine Tourism Promotion Act as the basic direction for the system improvement of the Marine Tourism Promotion Act.
