The purpose of this study is to evaluation and analysis of regional festivals in Daejeon. Korean regional festivals have been booming in recent years with the revitalization of local autonomy. It should be linking the festivals with the sight-seeing destinations around them or other tourism industries. The findings show that it is necessary for Daejeon city to identify key motives to visit regional festivals and to differentiate the planning of festival because a motive to visit is various by the festivals. And this strategy focuses on the promotion of cultural attractiveness to induce visitors for regional development.
