Directions for Strengthening competitiveness of Naju Pear

For last several years, production of pear has been experiencing over-supply due to good climate conditions and selling price crashing with severe competition among the farming districts. Under these circumstances, systematic and overall measures to improve the pear growing environment are required, taking into consideration in particular that pear cultivation accounts for about 10% of the Naju economy By fact finding investigation of the Naju pear growing farmers and the analysis, this study points out the current problems of Naju pear industry and suggests the counter measures to solve them. By doing so, this study aims to set the directions to the future to enhance competitiveness of Naju pear industry.
